Kokura Station
Kokura Station（小倉駅) is located in Kitakyushu city, Fukuoka prefecture. Kitakyushu city is located in the north of Fukuoka prefecture.
The city has been prospered as a gateway to Kyushu island fro Honshu island, the main island of Japan. Kyushu island is separated from Hoshu island by the Kanmon Straits. And, islands are connected by a bridge and tunnels.
Sanyo Shinkansen uses Shinkanmon tunnel to operate between Honshu island and Kyushu island.
As there are many limited express trains stop at Kokura Station, many tourists visit Kokura Station for transfer. One of the popular limited express trains is Sonic. Sonic goes to Beppu in Oita prefecture, one of the most famous hot springs area in Japan.
